How To Do Emo Eye Makeup

In this video, you will learn how to use a few different cosmetic products to create an emo eye effect as well as some techniques to make it all easy to apply and correct any mistakes.

I'm going to be showing you how to achieve the emo eye makeup. It's really important to make sure your face is a shade or two lighter than what you've got already, so we've really made Jenny's base quite pale and then matte it down with a lot of powder. We're going to concentrate on really making the eyes quite dark.

So, we're going to press some black eye shadow. This one is just for mac all over the eye lid and then we'll continue that and we'll put it all the way underneath the lower lash line just to increase the intensity. You can tidy up any lines afterward.

Just get the main color on top. Just continue that color all the way underneath. The next product I'm going to use is the mac black track fluid line.

This is great for creating that cat's eye effect and it's a long lasting makeup as well. You're stay really, really close to the lash line. What we're going to do next is create a flick at the end.

You can make it as thin or as thick as you want. Just think of it as the cat eye. I'm going to follow that underneath her lower lash line and if we make any mistakes, tidy it up at the end.

Follow that line all the way under. We're just going to intensify this look by using the Mac Color Eyeliner in the water line. You can actually put it in the upper water line as well if you're brave enough.

Then get some mascara on as well and really just build the mascara up layer by layer and put a bit on the bottom lashes as well. I've just repeated that look on Jenny's other eye, and I'm now going to define the look up a little bit more by filling in the eye brows. You can get them quite strong here just to balance out the eyeliner.

You can even draw in a longer shape if you want as well. So, just to summarize, we've put a really, really pale base onto Jenny, a little paler than she is. We've matted down with a lot of powder and then to create that lovely cat eye emo eye makeup look, we put some black eye shadow on the eyelid, followed it all the way underneath and used some black track fluid line long lasting eyeliner gel to really line the top and the bottom lashes and then finish off with defining the eyebrows.

And that's how to do emo eye makeup. .
