How to do long-lasting make-up. You probably find in the mornings, you put your make-up on and by lunch time, even by your first cup of tea, your make-up has already started to disappear, to melt, to smudge. So I'm going to show you a few suggestions on how to make sure it stays at least until lunch time.

So, first of all, and most key, use a primer. There are many very good primers on the market and a primer can really, really help keep the make-up on for longer. So, just put the primer on the skin.

Next, apply your foundation. Try to use a foundation which has long lasting properties. There are many foundations that you can buy either at the chemist or at your beauty store.

A lot of them will have some great, long lasting ingredients and properties. Next, apply your concealer. Apply under the eye, use a smaller mat, and just blend it very gently into the foundation.

Next, look to define the eyes. Use a gel eyeliner. Gel eyeliners are renowned for their longevity.

However thick, however fine you want to use it, but a gel really does stay put for that much longer. So I'm just finishing up applying gel eyeliner. You can smudge this a little bit with some powder just over the top, but ideally, the gel on its own will suffice and should last you a good length of time.

Next, make sure you use a good mascara, preferably one that is waterproof because it can stay on the eyes for longer. And if your eyes are watering at any point due to wind or emotions perhaps, it will stay on. The next thing I'm going to use is the lip liner, absolutely key for long-lasting make-up.

Create a line around the lips, but not only that, fill it in. By filling it in, you're creating a really good base to put the lipstick on, which will help it last that bit longer. Next, using your lipstick, probably with a brush is preferable, but you can use your fingers, find a color that is very similar to your lip liner or vice versa.

And cover your lip. Next, blot the lips. It's a favorite old trick, but it really does work.

Add gloss if you need to, but essentially that should hold your lipstick in place. And finally, use some loose powder and really press it into the skin to hold the foundation in place. Dust it away.

During the day, do feel free to use a compact. Loose powder can be quite annoying to carry around in your handbag. And again, during the day, just along the T-zone, touch up and it should help keep the foundation on all day.

So that's how to create long-lasting make-up. .
