Step 1:
-
Get the Marylin Monroe Look.
-
I'm Tara, your worshiped witch, and in this special edition of Beauty Cast we're gong to show you how to channel the great Marilyn and share her look.
-
Step 2:
-
Base layer.
-
Begin by using a flat tipped brush and a white eye shadow. This will be your base layer and should be swept all over the entire eye lid and up to the eyebrow.
-
Step 3:
-
Give your eyes sparkle.
-
Next use white matte powder and apply it generously to the entire eye lid with a flat tipped brush. Don't assume that you have to darken the eyes to be dramatic, using lighter colors can help brighten your eyes and make them sparkle.
-
Step 4:
-
Compliment hair color.
-
Next we're going to define the brow using a Taupe-Brown powder. Use a color that complements your hair color. For example if your brows are darker use a Chocolate brown powder. Apply the powder to the eyebrows using a flat edged brush. Using a powder to help fill in the brows still looks natural but helps to frame the eyes.
-
Step 5:
-
Work on the eyes.
-
Using a blending brush, apply a charcoal shadow to the crease of the eye. Begin from the outer corner and blend up using circular motions. Moving the brush in circular motions helps blend the dark and light colors together while you are applying. After that, we're going to apply black eye shadow with a flat edged brush. This is going to line your eye.
On the upper lid, begin from the middle of the eye and brush on the color in a thin line, as close to the natural lash line as possible. The line should extend past the outer corner of the eye and sweep out towards the brown bone. Then using the same brush and color apply the shadow along the lower lash line. Begin from the middle and brush to the outer corner.
-
Step 6:
-
Eye shadow.
-
Next apply a light pink eye shadow between the eyebrow and the brow bone. Using a fluffy round tipped eyeshadow brush, or a blending brush, sweep the color down towards the inner corner of your eye and then to the outer edge of your eyebrow. This is your brow highlight and it adds dimension to your eye.
-
Step 7:
-
Finish up.
-
Apply your favorite black mascara to your upper eyelashes. Make sure to coat the lashes evenly by brushing the top and underneath, from base to tip, and by moving the wand in a wiggly motion.
