How To Do Napkin Origami

Hi. My name is Luigi and I'm the Maestro on the art of Napkin Folding. What we're doing today is the demonstration on the napkin which comes from my book, the Luigi's Language of Napkin Folding.

What we're doing now is a classical fold which is known all over the world. I would not give you the name at the moment until towards the end of it. Now, this is actually through origami.

We take a napkin, now this particular napkin was given to me as a sample and I found it useful, excellent for the kind of fold I am doing at the moment. As you can see, now we open the napkin completely, we take each corner and we fold it to the centre, and again to the centre. Then what we do is that we fold again to the centre.

I use the knife to help me because if you don't use anything in here, when you want to open, it opens itself at the end, you can see. And then, of course you can always use the palm of your hand like this. You put your palm in the centre and the other one underneath, then you just turn it over and then what you do is open up this corner and go in the centre again.

Now you take this section and you actually fold it in half, and then you take the two parts of it and you go to the centre. While you're holding it, you put two fingers inside here, one hand in there and you hold one side and you put it on the end there and what you have in here if you have no guest, you can see that. Then we take a plate, we put a cup, a small cup like that and we just put it inside.

As you can see, that will hold it together, just put the flowers in the centre and you have a beautiful setting for a table. Okay, of course, this is one fold of this design, if you take the flowers off, you open up again, take the cup away and just look at this, and this is why I like this particular napkin which was sent to me as a sample the other day and you can agree with me that this does not require flowers. .
