Ricardo Macedo shows you how to workout during the postnatal stage of your pregnancy, so tune in to start getting into shape.
Here we go. Hi my name's Ricardo Macedo, I'm from R fitness in Kensington, London. We're going to show you how to do some exercise and present you with few guidelines, so let's get ready.
Hi, today were going to be showing you post-natal workout, you can work out after pregnancy, that's no problem. You don't need to run to the gym but it's a very simple exercise you can do, so earlier we start, earlier we're going to get back in shape, earlier you can achieve what you aim for. We're going to show you very simple basic exercise but definitely, it's very important after pregnancy so we're going to start with pelvic floor down on the floor, Fendy here again is going to show us, hands on the floor, take a deep breath, raise your hips and down, nice and easy, good.
Got you high, that's good, little bit lower, yeah that's the pelvic floor with raises, and good, you can do 15 to 20 reps, three sets of those and then wrist and ankle rotation, especially during the pregnancy, you tend to have your ankles swelling, your wrist and you have poor circulation, so there you help to get your wrists rotating, do that for a minute, so reverse, yeah that's very good, directions clockwise, anti-clockwise. We got the ankles' rotation that's very important especially when your ankle's swollen during pregnancy, so the rotation increases the blood circulation and it's going to get back to normal. So the neck relaxing as well, we're going to be the necks and the shoulders rolling, yes, nice and easy, slow, slow, slow, slow big circles getting the blood flowing and then, we're going to have the neck nice and easy, no pressure, very calmly, very good, over to the side and that's the simple things you can do at home for the starts.
