Hi. This is just going to be a short intro on how to use your scrapbooking embellishments. Embellishments, now, that is a word we can really get happy with.

Right, this is how to use embellishments in scrapbooking. I'll start off here with these great big chipboard letters. You can see on the back there, it's just all plain cardboard which I've actually painted over and then glazed with a dimensional adhesive.

I've also stamped on there. Moving on to here, more chipboard, again absolutely plain horrible gray cardboard and here, I've stamped on them using an archival ink and there, I've even put some glitter glue on the top. So again, that's just giving it a little bit of jush.

Going around here, we're just moving around, we've got paper embellishments. Again, all of these have been printed on archival acid-free paper, ditto the ribbon, moving in to stickers, ribbons, wrapped braids, 3D embellishments which I've cut out and all mounted on little foam pads, even these. These are metal brass which means that at the back, there's little metal prong like a paper fastener, push it through your paper, open it out and they'll stay there permanently and fix things as well.

This is Christmas paper lace, any paper lace. This is self-adhesive. Just pull it out, layer it on your page, and press down.

You can use things like buttons, little mini clothes pegs to fasten things, little binder clips. If they won't stay on their own, clip to something – use a little something like any of these glues, particularly this sort or you can roll up a little stick-on pad. And then, we're coming back here to letters, again chipboard decorated or here, we've got stickers.

Another idea for your chipboard is the humble paper doily. Tear a little piece of cut-off, stick it over with glue, paint back over with PVA and that would make it archival acid-free but you'll also have a lace texture on top of your letter. And finally, just to show you, that's had glitter on top.

So, this was white chipboard colored with an inkpad and here, a little binder clip. And that is a very quick overview on some of the embellishments you can use in a scrapbook. .
