How To Do Sparkly Makeup

I'm going to show you how to do a sparkly makeup look. Firstly Sues skin has been cleansed and toned, I'm going to use an illuminating, brightening primer from Urban Decay: good complexion primer potion. Just turn the lid and apply a bit on the skin and just blend it in.

This will help with pores, fine lines and literally acts as a makeup base for the foundation.



I'm just going to apply a foundation; it's Revlon Photo Ready in shade number 3. The next product I'm going to apply is Clinique Line Smoothing Concealed under the eye area and blend.

Just dot that on and gently blend that through from corner of the eye to the outside.



Next I'm using the palette from Urban Decay, a whole collection of colours some of which are really sparkly so I'll chose those but I'll start first with a nice nude shimmer colour called Sell-out I'll use it all over one eye then the other eye. Next I'm going to apply some really glittery eye shadow; there is a really nice colour in this palette called Midnight Cowboy.

Once again it's full of glitter, real soft and pretty, a light taupe colour. Apply that all over your eyelid and it doesn't matter if some falls on your cheek since it will just add to your sparkly look.



Next I'm going to use a pencil called Queen by NARS; a nice chunky pencil in green.

You use that in the corner nice and sparkly then you can pull it over the whole of the lid to get a very, very light green sparkle over the taupe to give a two tone effect. Now I'm going to use a pearl colour pencil from Top Shop to get a pearl shell pink in the corner and outside to open up the eyes a little bit.



To get some depth I'm next going to apply an eye shadow called Half Baked which is a kind of rich gold and put that in the center of eyelid and in the socket line a chocolate brown colour called Twice Baked so we still have all the sparkles coming through.





We'll use a L'Oreal Contour Kohl black eye pencil and we are going to trace along the upper lash line close to the lashes then we blend the lines in with a brush. Put on some Guerlain mascara in black and it will really make a real difference.

Next we apply a blush, Soft Peach by Clinique on the apples of the cheek while you smile.

Now we have the glitter on the face and eyes but we'll keep everything else as natural as possible or it will look like a Christmas tree with glitter everywhere.



Finally we are going to use a velvet matte lip colour by NARS called Bolero and then some Kiss lip gloss by Guerlain 848 on the top and that's a sparkly look completed.
