Top Tips

  • In target archery you shoot a set number of arrows at set distances, so you can compare your scores with those of people all over the world, and to your own past and future scores.
  • The target is split into 6 colours with 10 scoring zones; from 10 points in the centre, to 1 point for the outer ring. There is also an X ring in the dead centre in case of any tie breaks.
  • Shooting distances range from 18 metres to 90 metres; the shorter distances are usually for indoor archery, and often use a smaller target to compensate for the shorter distance.
