How To Do The Barani On A Trampoline
A barani is a front somersault with a half twist, and is one of the more advanced moves in trampolining. In this step by step guide Nik Walder, trampolining coach with Ace of Clubs Trampolining, talks you through how to perform the move.
Top tips
- Don't forget to do the somersault as you concentrate on the twist.
- Make sure you do not lean sideways as you take off, as you could end up over the side of the trampoline!
- To find out which way you twist: do a seat drop to front drop, then do a seat drop with a very late half twist to back drop.
- Practice with a coach calling the twist and a throwing mat.
