How To Do The Colorswash Technique

Step 1: Colorswash Technique

Now, you can add some quality to your photos and do the popular colorswash technique. I'm using PhotoShop to show you how to do it, but most paint programs should work.

Step 2: Image

Load the image that you want to transform.Then, you are going to select Image, Adjustments and Desaturate. This will turn the image into a black and white photo.

Step 3: Image History

Then, all you have to do is select the History Brush and select a size that will work for the image that you want to modify. Then paint on that image.

The color will be restored but the rest of the picture will remain in black and white. This is an easy and fun technique to change photos by adding the colorswash technique.
