Hi, my name is Lisa, and I work for the Addiction Hair Salon in Watford. I'm the Master Hair Designer, and the in salon educator for the group. Today, I'm going to be taking you through a series of videos that include hair care tips, salon product knowledge, and how to use certain hair equipment.
On this video, I'm going to be showing you how to create the perfect quiff. So, just start off by just lightly spraying the top section of the hair, and then just taking, starting from back here at first because of the fringe that my model's got. You're going to be taking some small sections of hair, because quiffs all mainly start through the front, so you don't want to be concentrating too much on here.
Pull the hair up, and just lightly backcomb the hair. Make sure you do get a little bit in this front bit as well, because that will be the more difficult section to keep secure. Some people do a quiff with the whole top section of their hair, some people just do the fringe just to kind of get the their fringe out the way.
So, I'm just literally doing that through here, again, another quick mist of spray. Then, you're going to take a small sort of section with the hair with a soft brush and just lightly brush back. Try not to upset the backcombing too much, you're just going to brush that all back.
Now, my model does have fringe so, you know you will have to maybe go over that with a little more hairspray towards the end. Now, just take that section of hair that you've kind of backcombed through here, and with what you can see in the mirror, now, I'm going to go quite big just so you can see what you need to kind of do yourself. If hair starts falling forward, just give it another quick spray.
Now, this is where it's going to be secured, so now you've got your hair, you're gonna take it and you're gonna twist it and this will give you, if you need a bit more height, will push that up for you. Now, that is your foundation for the quiff. Everything else from now on in, is a bit of personalization.
So, I'm just going to, because of the hair being quite soft at the side, I'm just going to just re-spray that through. If you need to cover this section at the back if your grips show, you can easily just take a couple of sections of hair and just secure them in. So, what I'm going to do is just use a couple of those smaller pins again, just use them to cover.
A little bit of shine spray, just to kind of gloss over any last minute bits so it's nice and shiny. And that is how you create the perfect quiff.
