How To Do Underarm Waxing
Waxing hair can appear to be difficult and painful. But by following the easy steps in this film, you will learn that underarm waxing can be simple and comfortable.
Today, I'm going to show you how to wax an underarm. First of all, you need to cleanse the area using a pre-wax lotion. This is going to remove any oil from the area, allowing the wax to stick properly.
Now, you see that in this instance, the hairs are growing in two directions. There's some growing up and there's some growing down. I'm going to apply just a little talc to the area.
Then I'm just going to test the temperature of the wax on myself on my inner wrist. If you're happy with the temperature of the wax, remove it, take a clean spatula, dip it into the wax, and remove any from one side. By spinning the spatula, you will minimize dripping.
You need to go from the middle of the underarm and follow the direction of the hair and the way that it grows. So we've already surmised that the hairs in this case grow half up and half down. So I'm just going to do one section at a time.
Once the wax is applied, apply a strip, press it down firmly and support your client's skin above where you're about to pull from. This will give them a lot more comfort. Remove the hair in the exact opposite from which it grows.
In this section, we're going to take the wax from the center downwards. Take a strip, apply it to the area, and again, stretch from below where you're about to pull, lift the wax in the exact opposite direction. If there are any stray hairs and you're using a warm wax, you can go over the area.
Just apply it to the hairs that are remaining. Apply some after-wax lotion to soothe the area and just tweeze out any remaining hairs. When you're satisfied that the area is hair-free, repeat on the other side.
And that's how to wax an underarm. .
