How To Download And Use Madotate
This short instructional video shows how to install, set up and use an AWESOME 3D windows program that gives your PC a Windows Vista style look!
-
Step 1:
-
Madotate Explained
-
Hi, this is Rob from Twisted Videos. Today I would like to introduce you to a really cool and free program called Madotate that will allow you to add 3-D Windows effects to your Windows XP PC.
-
Step 2:
-
Minimise Application
-
Here is a view of my desktop with Madotate running. When you first open a new application, the program will open normally as you can see here. However, if you look at the buttons in the upper right hand corner of the window you will see that there is a new button there. This button will minimize the application to a 3-D view on your desktop like this.
-
Step 3:
-
3-D Windows & Icons
-
Madotate will allow you to have as many 3-D window views as you would like and is fully customizable so you can drag these icons wherever you like. All you have to do is left click with your mouse, drag, release and there you go.
You can also re-orient icons into any orientation you prefer. To do this, click, hold and drag using the right mouse button. Release the mouse button when the view is how you like it. To bring the 3-D icon in full view, just double click the chosen icon and the window will maximize.
-
Step 4:
-
Settings
-
Madotate appears as an icon on your Start bar by the time icon. In order to access the Properties of the program, just right click the icon and go to Settings. There are a lot of interesting Settings in here, and you should play with them and figure out what works best for you.
-
Step 5:
-
Download Madotate
-
So, now, you're probably asking, "Hey, great. Where can I get it?" All you need to do is go to davc73.free.fr/madotate. Down here in the directory you will see the entry for Madotate 2.02. Just double click it, download it and save it to disc.
The Madotate program comes in a zip file. Before you can use it, you will have to unzip it into its own folder. Once you've done that, open the Madotate folder and find the file called Madotate.exe.
Now click and hold that file with your right mouse click and drag it out to your Desktop. Release it and put it at Create Shortcuts Here. This will create a shortcut on your Desktop for starting Madotate whenever you want.

Step 6:

That's it for this time, folks. Thanks for tuning in, and I hope you enjoy your new 3-D Windows program.
See you next time on Twisted Videos.
