How To Draw A Cartoon Bird

How To Draw A Cartoon Bird: VideoJug has enlisted the help of cartoonist Stephen Marchant from the Cartoon Museum in London, to show you how to draw a cartoon bird.
-
Step 1:
-
Rough outline
-
Start by drawing a circle for its head. If you're going to draw your bird in flight, draw its main body to the side of its head. Give him two wings above his head and two little legs at the bottom. . Check your pencil outline before you carry on.

Step 2:
-
Details
-
If you're happy with the outline then begin with his beak. It should be long and sharp at the end. Draw two dots for the eyes just above his beak and add a small tuft of feathers on to of his head and around his neck. Mark out his feathery wings and spindly legs with large claws for gripping onto trees. Finally give him a feathery tail and your bird is complete. If you want, you can draw some clouds around him to make it look like he really is in the air.

There you go - a cartoon bird.
