Cartoonist Stephen Marchant from the Cartoon Museum in London shows VideoJug users how to draw a cartoon cat. Follow this simple step by step process, and perfect your cartoon cat the VideoJug way.
Step 1: Rough outline
Start your cat by drawing a wide rugby ball shape for his head. Outline a squat body and then lightly sketch two fat little legs. Give him two little arms with his paws resting on his hips. Check your pencil outline before you carry on.
Step 2: Details
With your pen, give your cat two feline ears and a tuft of hair in the middle. He has a wide little nose and two beady eyes. This cat's got mischief on his mind so give him a cheeky grin. Next, sketch his whiskers and then move onto his body. Go over his arms and paws and give him paw-like feet too. Give him a big belly and a comedy bow tie round his neck. Last but not least, draw him a long tail.
There you go - a cartoon cat.
