How To Draw A Cartoon Panda

I'm a cartoonist and I am going to show you how to draw some cartoons and have some fun. I'd like to show you how to draw a cartoon panda. He is obviously nice and cute so we start off nice and quite with a rounded head.

It is a quite short and stocky body and that also makes him a little cuter I think. The legs, I am just penciling them in. We have to make sure to fit everything in if the proportions are right.

It has got some bamboo in his hand. Draw the naves about here and the eyes here. Having sketched in the very round shapes I am going to darken him in and I am going to do that with a darker pencil.

Then I can make corrections. The top of the head is too high. I think the ears are a little too big so we will bring them down.

Draw a little triangular nose and some smiley eyes. We will darken those in in a little while. Here we have the arms and the arm on the other side of the body of course.

Draw in the rest of the body, the legs. Again he is kind of short, it suits him. Again, quite easy, just draw slowly and enjoy it.

That is what drawing is all about. And I am just observing because I couldn't remember the coloring of the panda so I had to look on the internet and get some photographs up. Here is the bamboo he is eating, I can not make up my mind.

He is enjoying eating. Throw him some darker eyes, there you go. I thought rather than inking this in this is going to be dark enough.

It looks like he is wearing a jumper on top of his body. I think that is it with the lighter pencil. We will do a little bit of shading.

Just imagine the sun is shining from over here, there we go. Sorry I get carried away sometimes. We have the shade on the side of the body giving it dimension.

That is all you need to do not too much shading, just going over it until it is darker on the edge. The light is coming from this direction so the shadow is in this direction. The shadow is darker.
