How To Draw A Penguin
Drawing is fun. It is a way of creating and expressing yourselves. Laura from Creative Drawing Studio, teaches to draw a Penguin in six easy steps and the result is just beautiful.
Hi, I'm Laura from Creative Drawing Studio/ We offer art classes for children and adults and believe that drawing is an enjoyable skill that anybody can learn so why not give it a go and see what happens. Let's start with the eye which is small and draw a circle around it,then move over and start the back of the beak down about here, which has got a curvy line which goes to a point and back which is the bottom of the beak, now there is already marking over there and now to the top of the beak. Lets start the top of the head which is a curvy line that goes round like that and then underneath the beak, the neck shows here and then join it up with a curvy line.
Now start to come out from the neck, the body and start to shape the front of a penguin. This is a standing penguin which stands about this tall and just the size of it here, first lightly. We can then add curvy line, and the some little bits of fur for the feet, little zig-zags and then up and we are going to close and join up to this side of the body.
Now we are going to close the top of the neck into the wing from the back of the head a line that goes down and out like that. Its got a rounded point changes direction and goes up there. Then draw one more line on the underneath like that.
After which you jump over to the other wing and find a point this side after you jump over and draw the inside of this wing and rounded point, change direction and draw it up this side. And on this wing also a bit of the top this side.Time to put on the penguin's feet.
Let's put in a liitle of the back foot first. Then a claw there, another one there and a small one here, and then back round to the top over there. Now start this foot here curve it on the side and draw a claw there, turn and another claw, twist and got to add one more and then up and go straight up.
Put some marks here to show feathers and we can colour them later with pens to get the markings. Once you have drawn the penguin in pencil, you can take some black felted pens and put in the markings of the particular penguin you want to draw and lets add some indications of some feathers like that and then you can rub out any of the old pencil lines like this. Now thats a Penguin!.
