Everyone knows that puppies are adorable, but have you ever tried to draw one? With this video you can learn how to draw a cute little puppy in no time.
Hi I'm Laura from Creative Drawing Studio in London. We offer art classes for children and adults. In our 10 years of teaching, we have seen that drawing is a skill that anyone can learn.
We're going to draw puppy and we'll start with the nose, which will be about here. And we'll draw a circle that's a bit flat at the top, slightly pointier at the bottom. With a straight line and two little dots at the bottom.
And underneath the nose we'll draw a straight line that bends around this way. And then from the center, we'll draw another curvy line that bends around this way. A little indication, the line that goes between the eyes or the forehead.
And we'll bring that edge up just a bit and place our eyes. One eye will be there. We can do it lightly first.
One eye will be there. And draw a dot here and color it in. Leave a highlight.
And come around the other way. And we'll draw the other eye. Color it in and leave a highlight.
And you can put a circle around it, like that. And little puppy wrinkles at the top. Now we need to draw the top of the head, like this.
So we just draw a light line first, just to get our position. Come around about there. And let's not forget the little tongue that hangs out right over here.
Right there. And a little bit of a chin underneath. Next we'll add a floppy ear here and a floppy ear on this side.
So, at this point of the head, right near the eye, we can add a little curvy line first. And then, right coming out the top edge of the ear. And it comes down right toward the nose, folds up this way.
On this side, we'll have the ear placed in kind of like a triangle here. Get that position in first. Put that ear in like this.
And let's add a few more wrinkles, because they are very wrinkly little puppies. And from the tongue or from this side of the face. First let's put a few dots in.
I think the puppy should be, puppies are very roundish. So, if we come, we think the leg's going to be there. The body's quite pudgy, do something round like this.
We can then add the front paw coming up, coming out. Then we can curve around for the paw and go straight and out. And add little curvy lines there that show the other side of the paw there.
And now we can put in the back of this puppy. Which, his legs are folded under and floppy under the feet like that. And of course, the little tail.
And there we have our puppy.
