How To Draw A Superhero
An artist describes very patiently as to how to draw a superhero character and the basics of how to make out a figure with line drawing.
In this episode, I am going to show you how to draw a superhero. First, I am going to do a circle and then an oval for the head. Next, I am going to do a line straight down to help me with guiding where to draw the body position.
Now, I am going to draw two circles on either side of the shoulder blade. Next, I will do a square for the torso. Now, I am going to do a circle for the hips.
Finally, do a triangle for the pelvis. Now, I am going to draw two lines for the legs as a guide. A little bit more than half way down, I will put two circles for the knees and at the bottom of the lines, two circles for the feet.
Now, for the arms, I draw a line as a guide to show me where the arms will go. Now, do the same on the opposite side. Now, I will go to the feet and join the two triangles.
Now, I will do cylinders for the muscles. I will do this for the arms and the legs. I will connect the head to the shoulder, so I can have a neck.
Now, I am going to go around the joints and the cylinders which are the muscles and bulk up the character to give it more of a shape, exaggerate the muscles to give the character more of a superhero feel. Put two triangles for the hands. Now, I will go back to the face.
I will put a horizontal line in the middle of the face, so I know where the eyes will go and I will put the eyes in. As superheroes have masks, I am going to put a mask on my superhero. Then, I am going to put mouth and three dots for the nose.
Next, I will give the superhero some boots and I am going to give my superhero a cape. The cape will flow down and get wider at the bottom, make the cape so it looks like the wind is blowing it. Now, give your superhero a logo on the chest, so mine would be a thunderbolt. .
