There are safe and unsafe ways of drawing a bow in archery. In this Videojug guide Michael Peart, professional recurve archer and Olympic reserve, shows you the correct way of drawing a bow.
Top Tips
- Place both hands on the bow, raise your hands just above your shoulders, and draw back as you lower your arms to shoulder level.
- Do not point your bow right up in the air, and draw back; this can cause back injury, and is a safety risk.
