How To Draw Anime Animals

Okay, this section, I'm going to talk a little bit about drawing animals. Much like the human heads, I'm going to start my little puppy head with a sphere, my favorite crosshairs, but I'm going to add some ovals on top. As you can probably guess, these are going to turn out to be the ears.

I've got a cute picture of some spaniels, and they've got quite fluffy furry ears, so I'm going to add some short brushstrokes to denote some soft furry texture on these ovals. Obviously they're going to turn out to be quite detailed. So that is a little manga-fied puppy, using a photo for realism, but emphasizing some bits to make him look cute.
