Hello. My name is Jamie Sale. I am a freelance cartoonist from Essex.
And I am going to be teaching you how to draw cartoons. We are going to draw Bart Simpson, from the Simpson's. When you draw Bart, we are going to draw his head now.
You start by drawing a sort of tin can shape at a slight angle. And this will represent the main part of his head. Then you draw a circle right in the middle of that face which would represent one of his eyes, right in the middle of the tin can type shape.
Then if you imagine a line coming from his eye here, each side of the eye, it is going to make his neck, eventually down here. Okay, and then next, we draw the neighbor eye. There.
And this eye needs to be slightly bigger actually. And this eye will need to come off his head slightly, to represent the bulge. Then we can have the nose in here, which would be coming out from this eye overlapping his furthest eye.
Then we will draw his brow here. And this part here will actually makeup his mouth. But I have done a little bit too long.
But you can always adjust it and make it a little bit shorter. So this is where we put his mouth in. Along the line, at the end of the line, just put in there.
Mark off the end of the mouth, then the jaw of his, part of his lip. His ears can be somewhere between his eyes and his mouth. You can then make this line straight here.
And then in his ears, you can make a little T shape. The thing with Bart is, one of the rules of drawing Bart is that he has nine spikes on his head. So you want to make sure to leave enough room to draw in nine spikes, one outside so far.
As you can see, I have under done a little bit but you can go over it until it is right. These are the nine spikes. And then you just sketch over it, a little bit harder to define his features more.
And that is how you draw a Bart Simpson. .
