How To Draw Godzilla

This is a video about how to draw Godzilla. What I am going to do is I am going to sketch out a whole scene of the cityscape and of the Godzilla itself. Now, I am happy with the general layout of my drawing.

I am going to start making it a bit darker and putting in some dark lines around the monster. What I am doing here, to apply the contours and also the texture, is I am doing a squiggly line that is following the shape of it, and I am applying pressure every so often to make the line a bit varied. So, now, as you can see, I have done a lot more detail, I have applied some contours, I have used simple ways of describing scales by just using hatching which is lots of lines together.

So, what I am going to do now is try to add a bit of shade, a bit of contrast, by shading the Godzilla and the city. Now, the Godzilla is done, all we need to do is highlight the city a little bit and then, we are finished. Little bit of smoke coming off the buildings of the city, and then we have our Godzilla. .
