How To Draw Homer Simpson
Ever wondered how you could draw cartoons? This video shows you how to draw the popular cartoon character Homer Simpson in easy to follow steps.
Hello, my name is Jamie Sale, I am a freelance cartoonist from Essex and I am going to be teaching you how to draw cartoons. We are going to learn how to draw Homer Simpson, first thing when I draw Homer, I always tend to draw a circle to represent the top of his head. It doesn't matter how neatly you do at this stage, just get a rough sort of circle in.
Directly underneath that, I put another circle underneath that to represent his mouth and his beard and then we get a line coming from this circle here which will represent his neck. Next, we draw the eyes, two circles quite big and bulgy - this eye will come off of his head slightly like how most Simpson characters are drawn. Then we add his nose in, this comes out from his closest eye, then comes slightly over the other eye.
To get the mouth roughly where the mouth circle is, is draw a line - tick it off for his smile. Overbite means his bottom lip will need to come further in and from the bottom nose come around with the pencil and bring it to his beard. Add the ear in which is almost parallel to his nose.
Do his brow which comes to the centre of his eyeball. Improve head shape by going round the upper circle which represents top of head. Dot in some pupils and draw some loops for his hair at the top - put an M at the side to also represent his hair.
The collar is about roughly here on his neck - put a V in and the side of his neck will have a gap in. Draw the collar looking like a N, then meet the two lines. Draw another V from his neck.
Define more of his features, now you have Homer Simpson. .
