How To Draw Sailor Moon

In this VideoJug tutorial, Declan Talbert demonstrates how relatively easy it is to create Sailor Moon with a pencil and pad. By using simple shapes like circles, rectangles and triangles, you can sketch Sailor Moon as you will see in this video.

In the feature, I'm going to show you how to draw Sailor Moon. First, we're going to start off doing a circle over here, then a line going through the middle, there we're going to do the jaw, quite triangular. Now, we're going to put the shoulders and there at the end of the shoulders, we're going to put the shoulder blades.

Next, we're going to put in the torso, then a circle for the waist. Next, a triangular for the pelvis, then on the side of the pelvis, we'll be drawing two circles. Now, we're going to draw two lines for the leg and a bit more than halfway down the leg, we're going to put two circles.

This is going to be for the knee. Then at the bottom, we're going to draw two more circles for the feet. Now, for the arms we're going to draw lines.

And, at the bend, we're going to draw a circle for the elbow, and at the end for the hands, we'll do the same for the second arm. At the end of the hand, at the end of the circle, we'll put a line, we're going to do triangles. That's going to be for the hands.

Now, I'm going to do the same for the second one. And at the bottom of the leg, we're going to add two triangles for the feet. Now, we're going to add cylinders to add muscle, then so it will fit, rather narrow, near the joints, a few for the legs, make it kind of thick, then it will get narrow.

That'd be for the neck, now, we're going to connect all of the joints together to create a fore form of the figure. Now, we're going to go back to the face and draw a line, a horizontal line, and that's where the eyes will be. Then we're going to draw in animated eyes, quite big.

Now, we're going to do the nose, it's rather pointy, and then the mouth. Now, we're going to do two circles at the side for the ears. Then we're going to add in hair, a simple shape, so you can use this as a guide.

Now, I'm going to add the clothes. So, for the skirt, it's got to be a triangular shape. Now, we're going to add her top which is a sailor outfit.

And now, I'm going to finish off the hair. Next, we're going to put in her wand, so, a long rectangle, a heart shape, and then, a horizontal rectangle and another heart shape. Now, put a circle in the middle, and add dots to the long part of the rectangle.

Now, you're going to define the hand. Now, we're going to define the dress. And, going to her shoulder pads, choose a big circle, add two horizontal rectangles, then three smaller rectangles on her arm to complete that glove.

Now, do the same to that other arm. And now, we're going to add her wings. And that's how to draw Sailor Moon. .
