How To Draw Santa

Today, I'm going to show you a few tips and tricks on drawing. Now I'm going to show you how to draw Father Christmas - and I suppose that there are loads and loads of different ways to draw Father Christmas, but our mission is just to have fun here. He should be wearing glasses, a few little hairs on his head - a beard of course.

He's a fat guy, because he doesn't get any exercise for fifty-two weeks out of the year. Christmas Day is the only exercise he gets, and even then he's sitting down on his sleigh, I guess. We'll put a couple of silly feet.

That's the great thing about doing silly, funny drawings - you can position anything in any way you choose, and because you say it's there, it's right. That's one version of Father Christmas. Shade up that nose a bit so we get that smile up there.

It goes beyond the moustache, but that doesn't matter, because you've got to draw a "poofy" moustache and make it into a smile. A good way of drawing a smile is to make a sort of shape like this, eyebrows raised, great big smile. Of course, he's got classic Father Christmas cheeks.

And that's something with that moustache upgrade. It seems to make a difference, I think. And again, it's like, "Ho, Ho Ho!" That looks like Father Christmas.

There are just loads and loads of ways of drawing him. We'll put some shading on that, down here, then into the side and into the back. There you go.
