Hello, my name's Jamie Sale. I'm a freelance cartoonist from Essex and I'm going to be teaching you how to draw cartoons. This is how you draw Scooby Doo.

When drawing Scooby Doo, you start with a circle for his head. This will be the top part of his head here. And you almost want to have a line coming down from either side of these circles.

Add a slight angle to about here. This is his head and his neck that we're drawing. This part here is going to become his collar, so just extend that out from his neck a little bit as this is his neck, and it goes around and the same here as well, this is a bit of a loop there.

And this is the part of his collar as well, his tag. Right, and to add the facial features in, draw another circle here. Use the circle as a guideline, the circle isn't going to represent his mouth literally but it's, you can use it as a guide.

Now, the bottom of his mouth is going to come around by the circle here like that. And his nose is going to roughly be about here, like that. Then from the bottom of his nose, we have the first part of the lip, it's a bit of an odd shape because it loops around like that and it kind of goes upwards and then outwards and inwards again.

And the bottom part of his mouth, his lip, comes where this sort of loop is here and has a, is quite thicker along the bottom there. And meets it there like that so it's just where this comes down and around here. And this bottom line, these are going to be his teeth, and this bottom line just flick out a little bit from this line, cause then round about halfway down this line you're going to bring another loop around here that will represent his lip.

And this side of his mouth, I'll just have to draw a little shape there like that, and that goes outwards then into the nose. And the top of his nose here loops upwards and then downwards to his eyes and one of his eyes can be drawn in like that just as sort of a loose circle at the moment. And the other eye that way like that as well.

And we'll put his pupils in. And obviously, he has eyebrows so his eyebrows actually come off the top of his head just slightly. Then, his ears are just slightly to the left of his eyebrow here, again it's a bit of a peculiar shape as dogs ears are.

So that's his right ear, then we're going to draw his left ear in, again in a bit of a peculiar shape like that. And that is basically, that is Scooby Doo, then you just go over the lines a bit harder with the pencil to define them and give it a bit more life. And once you've done that, you sketch in the black bits.

And for Scooby Doo, that would be his nose and his eyebrows. And that is how you draw Scooby Doo. .
