Dressing correctly according to your figure is very essential for that perfect look. This VideoJug film is designed to show you how to dress an hourglass figure and some important tips to keep in mind.
Hi. I am Zoe Lem, stylist and owner of My Sugarland, and today I am going to give to you some insider's tips on how to do fashion. I am now going to show you how to dress an hourglass figure.
So, the hourglass shape, shoulders and hips are in line with a nipped-in waist. So, it's really about going with those curves. For the skirts, it's going for a pencil shape depending on the hips and thighs or you can go for an A-line, but the important thing to do is nipping in the waist.
Whether it's using a belt, whether it is the seam lines on the fabric, whether it's like this, has got prints on the top, but nipping in. If it's a jacket, keep it nipped in at the waist rather than lower, not going for low slung, low rise or low waist does justice. Nipped in at the waist and then balancing out on the shoulders.
So, whether that is going for gathering to the sleeve, whether it's going for jackets or going to darker fabric or the darker color on the shoulders, that creates the balance and brings out that. A lot of hourglass figures have a bigger bust. So, keep your neck line lower depending on how big the bust.
Keeping this open, either scoop necked or V-necked, and this will be flattering through here. If you have quite a big bust, you don't want go for too much detail on the bust. Wherever you put the detail is where it's going to draw the attention to you.
So, if you don't want someone to look at your bust, don't put embellishments, don't put detail on the bust. If you are going for trousers, a wide leg trouser is a good shape because, again, it works the same as an A-line skirt. It brings the width to the bottom and then it balances out.
Generally, a tight trouser or anything fitted on the bottom isn't quite as flattering, depending on the balance that you go for everywhere else but nipped in at the waist, balanced in the shoulder, balanced in the hip, keeping that kind of low. That's how to dress an hourglass shape. .
