Hi, my name's Carla Leenders. I'm a personal stylist at The Glass Slipper and I'm going to show you how to style your wardrobe. I'm going to show you how to dress boho.

Boho is a trend that comes around every season and it never seems to go in and out of fashion, it's just always around. The essential boho item is a long maxi dress like this. Something with a sort of ethnic inspired pattern is really good, because it really brings the word boho to mind.

Dressing around something like this to make into an outfit is really easy. Anything in crochet is a really good idea as it instantly screams boho. So something like this little waistcoat layered over your dress instantly gives it that little boho edge.

Because you've got a lot of pattern and detail going on on your dress, and you've got this lovely crochet item here, you don't want to add too much else to it. I would suggest some really simple accessories. Wooden bangles and wooden beads are always a great idea as they say boho as well, anything with a little bit of understated sparkle, nothing too overly glamorous, but some soft sheen or some soft gold on a bangle there.

Layer them up together, and don't be afraid to mix and match different bangles. Boho is all about experimenting. Also, a long gold chain with some pendants on the bottom is another boho essential.

Put that over your dress, along with your crochet cardigan and your bangles, stick on some flats or gladiator sandals in the summer, and you're ready to go. But you don't have to put your boho look away just because the summer's gone. You can dress around this as well.

I would suggest putting a long sleeve t-shirt underneath your dress. This will give you some extra coverage and some extra warmth during the winter. You can take a large belt and synch the waist of your dress in around the upper waist area.

Team it with a beanie and a nice wool scarf in a coordinating colour, and that's your boho look for winter sorted. Put it on with some knee-high boots and some thick tights and you're ready to go. That's how to dress boho. .
