How To Dress Elegantly

Elegance comes from within but these style tips will help bring out that flair in you.

Now, the really important thing about elegance is it comes from within. It's about how you hold yourself, how you put an outfit together, but also about your demeanour. Obviously, it can only be taught on the fashion side but the important thing is that elegance comes from how you piece things together and it always spans from something very simplistic.

It's keeping the makeup simple, the hair, nice and neat and tidy and simple and elegant, and then choosing really key pieces from your wardrobe. Pick a fantastic pussy bow blouse with the blues on sleeve, a classic elegant piece to add to our wardrobe. To dress it down, you just pop on a pair of jeans and it works really well on its own, and to finish off with that elegant look, add in a pearl bracelet or something with a pearlescent feel or a really nice classic watch.

A man's watch is a really great way to look elegant as well because it's oversized and makes your wrist look a lot smaller. Another way of just finishing this look off with the jeans and the blouse is just to pop a really simple jacket over the top. Now, this is a blazer shape.

Really classic, it's nice and low on the neckline so it really emphasizes this elegant pussy bow on the top but also, it cinches in your waist at just the right point. So again, it just carries on that elegant theme showing off your lovely figure to its best. You don't have to wear just a plain blazer.

You could go for a tweed or a leather blazer, anything that you feel comfortable in and be able to portray that elegant feel. You can also dress up the blouse with a pencil skirt for work and then pop on a really exciting coloured belt just to finish that look off and just take it to that next elegant moment. Another way of dressing elegantly is to perhaps go for a wide leg trouser with a high waist.

This is because it really shows off your figure and the high waist is just really an elegant feel. The wide leg makes the movement of the trouser much more exciting and it feels much more elegant. Obviously, don't put any old shoe with it.

Go for something really classic like a nice court shoe or a round-toe Payton shoe. It's a finished look and therefore it's elegant. If you're doing a wide leg trouser with just a plain white t-shirt, you might want to add in a little bit of fur just to give it that more luxury feel or you might want to pop on a silk scarf so adding in like some silk detailing or you could put on a really nice coat shape.

Go for something that's very classic and timeless. A really classic and timeless shape is fitted through the body here. It's single-breasted which means it's much better for any body shape.

If you go double-breasted, it can sometimes bulk you out a little bit. The neckline is a real structured neckline which means it's not going to lose its shape and go limp. It's got a pocket detailing which just again accentuates the waist.

Then, we want to move into dress shapes. Elegance is epitomized by that Breakfast at Tiffany's scene where she's wearing a black shift dress, the pearl necklace, and she's got the fantastic headpiece in as well. This is a really great take on it.

Go for a cream in the dress just to make it a little bit more exciting, a little bit more up-to-date. It has the panel on the waist which cinches you in, again showing off your figure. It's a nice really high neckline, high at the back as well so it's really great for putting a big statement necklace whether it's pearl or diamonds, whatever you want to go for.

But then, you want to accentuate the waist so you could go for making that statement with a nice read belt or go with a classic colour like the black or a nude just to keep it on that elegant simplistic style. But a classic shift dress is always going to be elegant and it's about how you finish it though, so make sure you don't pop on a really tatty old jumper. So in terms of elegance and how you portray that, you only want four elements to an ou
