How To Drink Gin: 'Last Word' Cocktail
This video shows you how to make a Last Word gin cocktail, and explains how to use the different ingredients.
Hi, I'm Bobby from 64th and Social. Gin was originally a Dutch invention when they discovered how to distill the flavor of gin a praquille. But in 18th century, it moved to the English barrel so there is no predominant English barrel all the way, no mead everywhere.
I'm going to make an old classic called the last word. It's a very nice strong balance to it. We are going to use one measure of our host pour gin Bombay sapphire here.
It's a very nice balanced gin; it's a very light and delicate gin. We're going to use lime juice. Lime citrus goes very well with gin in every way.
We are going to use it equal measures of that. It is important to use fresh lime juice whenever you are doing it as well. Now, we are going to use strong French herbal liquer.
This is filled with anise and around 57 other ingredients. That gives a good kind of floral herbal flavor to it. I'm going to finish off it with maraschino and this is flavored with cherries, cherry pips and I'm going to use equal measure of it as well.
Here we go. And let's get shaken up and then the point is to chill, dilute and mix ingredients. Lets these get shaken up in there.
And it's important to making a drink to taste it. Make sure you have done it right. And I'm going to strain it to get rid of all the ice.
And that is how you drink gin.
