How To Drive A Golf Ball
This video provides comprehensive information about golf. It is easy to grasp and should be adequate for beginners.
Hi! Today, I am going to show how to drive the golf ball. The most important thing about driving the golf ball is that the swing is exactly the same as the normal golf swing except for few keys and top changes. Step 1 is to make sure that when you tap the ball, half the golf ball is above the top of the club.
Step 2 is to make sure that the ball is positioned in line with the left heel and to do this, all we do is place our feet together, make sure the ball is in between the feet and then take a step to the right. As you can see, this shows that the ball is in line with my left instep. Step 3 is to tilt the body away from the target.
To do this, all we have to do is bump our hips forward one or two inches. Step 4 is in the back swing to make sure we are going to transfer about 75% to 80% of our weight to the right hand side. Step 5 is to make the swing itself, ensuring we give a nice steady rhythm throughout and that the hit stays nice and still throughout the shot.
In summary, we are going to make sure that about half the ball is teed up above the club, secondly that the ball is positioned of our left heel, thirdly that we apply some tilt to the body, so we catch the ball in the upswing. Next, that we are going to transfer about 75% to 80% of our weight to the right hand side in the back swing and lastly, we swing nice and smoothly, keeping a nice balance throughout the swing. So that is how we drive the golf ball. .
