This is why and how you dry peppers.
Hi, I'm John from Growing Life, London, UK urban and indoor growing specialist. We're here to talk about drying peppers at home in a food dehydrator. The reason we will dry our peppers at home is to stop the bacteria and microorganism spoilage from occurring basically to stop hot peppers from going off.
It's best to choose fruit without blemishes. You can either choose to dry it whole or you can slice it up and dry it like this. Either way, you want to wash your fruit first and then place this one cart evenly to give it an even drying.
You can place it one the tray on single layers nicely spread out. Do not set your temperature to above 57 degrees as this will damage the flavour of your dried product. Once dried, you can keep them in airtight containers or airtight bags to then use at a later date.
