How To: Drywall Sanding
Sanding drywall can be a task made easy! This film provides detailed instructions for those looking to decorate their plaster board after repairs or patches.
I'm going to show you how to sand dry wall. You would need to do this if you made a repair or patched in a section of drywall prior to the final coat of the decorating plastering or lining. Sanded off so smooth and flush ready for the next person which could be able to decorate, which will be decorating, papering or possible even plastering.
So what we're going to do, very carefully, very slowly, we're going to take a relatively warm piece of core sand paper and just go around taking the worst of it off. And then taking the next piece which is a slightly more warm or finer piece of paper. You go around and take any bits.
And then use them just a hand, just, you can always feel there's a ridge. There's just a ridge there we will concentrate on, and then lastly, just going on to a very, very fine piece and just taking the last little bits off. And there you have it.
Sanded piece of plastered wall. As I say it's ready for decorating and the next stage. And that's how to sand down the plaster board.
