In this video, I'm going to talk to you about the tools that you're going to require to drywall tape. So, this is our scrim tape. It's gone one side that's slightly tacky, which means when it's placed down onto the plasterboard top and we're just going to tape it straight over the joint, flattening it as we go all the way down, it sticks.
Very versatile. Very easy to use and to apply even pressure. Typically, a scraper or the back of a plasterers trough would be used.
And you can either cut it with a scraper in one swift movement like that or you can use scissors or you can use a Stanley knife. Like most things, it's all about speed and when it's on the wall, you can use a scraper to do both jobs at the same time, thus saving you time. And that's how to use drywall taping tools. .
