If your hair extensions are slightly darker than your natural hair color, you can always dye it to make it lighter. Here's the procedure from a hair extensions specialist.
Hi. I would like to show you how to dye your clipped in hair extensions. If your hair is slightly lighter than the hair extensions you purchase, you can easily make it lighter.
The only thing you have to consider is the quality, just have a look at the clipped in extensions that you have. If it looks too shiny, if it looks too almost perfect, it might be a little bit hard to dye, if the hair is over processed. If it's not, it would be a very easy task.
Generally, you can use a little bit of bleach to lighten it. Start with the smaller section, take one panel first, don't go straight for the whole set, and try to just get the color first on the very little section, and wait half an hour to see how the color process. Please, when you color your hair, color clip in hair extensions, make sure there is no product, no hairspray or serum on the hair.
We don't want any chemicals interfering with the hair dye. So, the best way, if you're not sure, if you used a worked hair extension, just give it a little rinse to make sure there's no product left on the hair. We're going to try a sample, sample color, which is sort of like a test patch, taking a section of the hair, we already have our bleach mixed here, don't apply it on the whole piece straight away, just put it a little bit on the actual hair, just make sure the section, very, very fine section, and make sure it really goes through the section as well, so the clolor attaches on the hair, you don't have to go right to the attachment to the seam here, but try to get as close as you can.
It just looks so nice as well if the hair is well colored. Now, when you apply to the section of the hair, wait approximately 15 minutes and keep an eye on it. Some bleach can take, the hair can take, the color very quickly so if the desired effect is achieved within 10 to 15 minutes, you can pretty much just wash the color off, and before applying the rest of the bleach on the rest of the hair, make sure you washed from that section of the hair and if you're happy with the result, go with it.
If for some reason, the bleach doesn't take, you know, doesn't color, doesn't make any difference to the section you've applied it to, you probably have to use a stronger chemical, stronger bleach to get it, to go lighter. Wash the strand, dry it slightly, you don't have to dry it until it's completely dry, just dry it slightly and then apply the stronger bleach again on the section or to another section and then you'll definitely see the difference. After 20 minutes, we washed the color off, we dried our weft or clipped in hair extension, and that's the clolor we want to keep, so very happy with it, you can just go and color the rest of the clip in hair extensions.
That was a technique on how to dye your clip in hair extensions. .
