Step 1: Prep Your Brow

Start with a clean brow. Make sure any residue of makeup or oil is removed from the brow hairs. Any oily deposits may affect the efficacy of the coloring agent.

Step 2: Determine Your Shade

The general rule is this: if your hair is dark, your eyebrows should be dark or one step lighter, if you're blonde, they need to show so you can go one step darker. If you go really dark, you'll have roots growing in and they'll show so you have to be careful going too dark or too light.

Step 3: Prepare To Dye

Make the dye solution right before you use it. Mix the dye and developer at a one to one ratio, and create a thick paste.

Step 4: Apply Dye

Mudpack on the dye making sure to reach the roots of the eyebrow hair.

Step 5: Time It

After 3 minutes, wipe the dye off with a dry cotton pad and inspect your brow. If the color didn't “take”, reapply the dye and wait another 3 minutes.

Step 6: Wipe It

Using a dry cotton pad, wipe off the dye first. Then go over your eyebrow with a second pad lightly soaked with the dye stain remover. This will stop the dying action.

Step 7: The Finishing Touches

Finish by tweezing and shaping your brows. Pencil in any bald spots.

    i have black eyebrows and black hair. im going to dye my hair in light yellow blonde, and i dont know if i should dye my eyebrow as well. if i should, what colour should i use? same colour as hair?

    to the person who wants to bleach their dark brows to make them lighter. with people who bleach their dark hair this can cause it to turn orange if done wrong. this could happen to your brows. please go to have this done instead. just to be on the safe side.

    Hello, I was born with blond hair. My mother has dark hair. So her dark hair has given me dark eye brows with blond hair. I have never really liked the look of my eye brows they are thick and dark.. This takes away my fair looks :/ Mabey I only think they look that thick . But any idears of what to do :) Thankyou .     I have blonde hair and dark-ish colour eyebrows, i want to dye them light brown so it looks more normal. Is it possible that you can actually use hair dye on eyebrows?? i'm not really gonna come on this site ever again cause ill probably forget or something but can anyone e-mail me your opinions on steph_brotherstone@hotmail.co.uk cause am more like to check on that than here. And please cause i really want this done and i dont know where to find eyebrow dye, and i think hair dye is easier to find and use. zxoxoxoxooxoxoxoxox

    to anonymous with blonde hair and black eyebrows, i recommend eyebrow bleach rather than dye, which will lighten dark eyebrows.

    I have naturally blonde hair and naturally jet black eyebrows. They look fake and annoying and so I want light brown eyebrows that will match almost every hair colour.
