Hair styling is now easier than ever - with the right steps and ingredients, you can be on your way to having great hair color. Here's how to dye your hair brown.
Today, I'm going to show you how to dye your hair brown, okay. And to do this, we're going to use an 'off the shelf' product which you can get at many chemists. It's a casting creme gloss, and what you need to do to start off with is mix your developer with your color.
So, I've already done this, and you need to make sure that you mix it so it's completely mixed in together, otherwise you'll find it might not work properly. Then I'm going to split the hair into four sections, so straight down the middle, and section it just behind the ear, okay. Now, after mixing the product and putting my gloves on, I've now started applying the tint to the front of the hair, like this.
Always do the front of the hair first, because obviously that's where we color to take - it's not so bad if it doesn't take fully at the back, but it's really important to get it to take fully at the front. And then we're going to get to the hairline. Now, this needs to be done really carefully, so you very carefully paint along that hairline moving up, and then you section, and then we do exactly the same with it, making sure that we get the product all over the client's hair.
So you need to ensure that you're very careful along the hairline and that you don't get product all over your client's hair, and we're taking very small sections, and the reason we're taking small sections is so that we make sure that the product penetrates all the way through the hair and covers every hair, otherwise you don't get good color coverage. In addition to that, we're also making sure that we cover the roots first, because the roots obviously haven't got color from the previous colorings, so you need to make sure that the color takes on the root so that it's the same color as the rest of the hair once you finish the process. So, we always go through and do the root first, and make sure that you use plenty of product so that it penetrates through.
So, once you mix our product, you must make sure you put them on within the manufacturer's guidelines to your client's hair, otherwise the development time - if it takes too long, the product won't develop and color the hair properly. So we've completely finished the client's hair now, as you can see, we've got color front to back, so what I'm going to do now is to go and wash the hair, and then condition, and style as desired. So we've washed all of the product out of the client's hair, and then we shampooed, and conditioned, and now, we just need to style the hair.
As you can see, the hair has taken and it's a consistent color all over. It looks fantastic, and that's how to dye your hair brown. .
