Dyeing your own hair can be a breeze with these simple tips from how to apply it to managing it. Do it step by step and you'll never go wrong.
Today I am going to show you how to colour your own hair. First of all, buy your products make sure you get the right product you require and then make sure you mix, follow the instructions on the box. Mix it.
I've already mixed mine, follow the instructions because different products use different instructions, mine is already mixed and I am going to show you how to start to apply it.
So first of all, I am going to start on the hairline. So, not too much on the your brush because you don't want tint go all over your face.
Start on the hairline, need to be a little bit on your skin which makes sure you get all the grey on your roots. Or if you got blonde roots, then blonde. I am just working this into the roots of the hairline, making sure you get all on the sides.
Again, remember not to overload your brush. Don't worry too much about getting on your skin, because tint removes tint, so when you actually do take your tint off your hair the tint will come off really easy.
Then I am going to section the centre.
Use the end of your brush to help this. If you haven't got a brush you can use a comb. Then I am going to section start on one side first, make sure your sections are not too wide.
The reason we're doing the roots first is because we want to make sure the bonded roots are covered and because the hair is porous which means it'll accept to colour quicker. That's how people overload and get really dark hair on the middle and to the ends so you're working this all the way through. Working your way through your roots.
Make sure you do both sides. And when you done that I'll show you how to do the back of your hair.
Okay, as you can see, I've been painting this on the back of my hair.
And the bit of product I got left, I'm going to get my hands in to that. And with both hands just massage to make sure I've got even coverage or through the back. And then, I'm going to leave my colour on to develop in time that's specified on the box and then once I take it off, when you wash your tint off your hair, first of all, I would put, with my gloves on, I would get my gloves wet with water and I would just go along the hairline with water to emulsify all the tint off the front, off my skin then I'd rinse the colour off.
So after you've used all your product, you now have to wait for it to develop in time. And then like I've said, hands in water, rub around your hairline because that will remove all the tint off your skin so you'll have no dark brown lines where the tint has been and that's how you colour your own hair.
Well, as you can see I've taken the product off my hair, I've rinsed it off till the water has run clear.
Then I shampooed my hair and then I conditioned my hair. I blow dried it and styled it and this is how my hair looks after I dyed my own hair.
