How To Embroider On Knitting

In this video tutorial, I will show you how to embroider on knitting. To embroider on knitting, you will need the following: tapestry needle, a piece of background fabric, preferably in knit stitch if you're a beginner, and a length of contrasting yarn. You may also need yarn cutter for finishing off.

We're going to follow the thread of all the stitches in one row. So, if we start over here at the edge, you can see that the thread curls, like a wave. It's important to understand this structure, because this is what we will be following, when we're actually embroidering colour.

I will follow this tread over here. It goes behind were I am going to put my tapestry needle. And then, I'm going to go back into the stitch below.

So, I'm going into the stitch hear, and coming out of the stitch next to it. As you can see, it looks very neat from the back as well. To finish it off, you can bring the yarn to the back, and you can this secure it onto this stitch on the back, making a little knot going into the stitch, next to where our yarn comes out of the fabric, creating a loop, and then threading your yarn through that loop, and then fastening it.

Once then, once you are done, you can cut the tail, and this is how you embroider on knitting. .
