Top Tips

  • The best way to attract frogs is to have a pond with a spot where they can easily get in and out.
  • At the bottom of walls or north facing hedges you should have a lot of ground cover plants so the frogs have lots of damp places to hide out in during the day.
  • Make mounds with leaf litter or compost in the damp spots so they can stay warm in the winter months.
  • The frogs will spawn in your pond in March. One way to help them out is by not having any fish in your pond as they will eat the frog spawn and tadpoles.
