How To Exercise During Pregnancy
Videojug presents to you some basic workouts to do to keep fit while you're pregnant, hosted by Ricardo Macedo of R Fitness.
Here we go. Hi, my name is Ricardo Macedo, I'm from R Fitness in Kensington, London. We're going to show you how to do some exercise and present you with few guidelines, so let's get ready.
I'm here in the R fitness, and today I'm going to show you how to do a pre-natal workout, a few guidelines we can use to make you safe. I have here with me Fendy, Fendy will try to demonstrate it. We're going to start giving you the guidelines.
First of all, you should avoid raising your heart rate above 140 beats per minute, just to keep safe. You don't want to get too hot, keep your temperature at a normal rate, like 38 degrees, and another thing, avoid lying down on your back, you don't want to compress your uterus, you don't want to put any strain on your back, so don't lie down on your back and avoid all the high impact exercise such as run on the street, aerobics, high impact aerobics, anything which may cause an accident. So we're going to start showing some of them, I'm going to ask Fendy to be right here, legs wide open, here, open a little bit more Fendy, toes pointing out, yes and here, I'm going to squat all the way down, keep your back straight and up, perfect.
If you're pregnant, this exercise is excellent. You're going to get your glutes, your inner thighs, your quads, everything is going to work, it's a big compound exercise and it's going to keep you safe, even if you have a big belly, right now, you still can do it. Don't go below 90 degrees, and that's fine.
So those exercises, very basic, you can do pretty much everything as long as you find those four guidelines: keep your temperature normal, no high impact, don't raise your heart rate too high, keep it below 140 and don't lie down on your back. Find those guidelines, and you'll be okay. Thank you.
