How To Exfoliate Skin
How to Exfoliate Skin: Emma Thompson, a beauty expert, is here today to discuss exfoliating your skin. She describes how using circular movements and with just the right amount of gentle pressure, you can have the cleanest and softest skin of your life.
Hello. My name is Emma Thompson. I am an independent beauty expert working for Melvita, one of France's largest organic brands.
Today, I am going to be talking to Benedict. I am going to be helping her learn how to exfoliate her skin. Exfoliation is vital for all skin types.
The key thing is to apply your exfoliator gently so that you get maximum effect from it. So I am going to talk to Benedict about how to do that. The majority of people apply too much product and rub too vigorously when they exfoliate their skin.
So what Benedict is doing now is applying the product to her face and what you will see is we are treating the face in sections. So your cheeks which are able to take less exfoliation, she is applying gently in circular movements. As we move across the forehead and down over the nose and chin, she is able to apply a little bit more pressure.
Work into the side of the nose and particularly around the chin. Keep your hands as flat as you can and use circular movements. Circular movements encourage dirt to be released from the skin.
Go around the jaw, again where you need to exfoliate gently. And that is probably enough, we don't want to over exfoliate. You need to make sure you remove all of the grains so that when you moisturize your skin you can feel the moisturizer going in at a deeper level.
So what you should have is skin that feels soft to the touch but doesn't look red and we have a nice clean look where to pores look ready for moisturizer. And that is how you would exfoliate. .
