How to feel good about yourself. I think it's true to say that many people in life go through periods where they perhaps feel slightly under-confident, maybe low in self-esteem, not feeling so good. It may be they've been knocked back in an interview, they didn't get the job they want, they've just been left by someone.
They have a feeling of not being in top form, or having lower self-esteem. So, how to feel good about yourself when perhaps you're feeling a little less good about yourself? The first thing is: it's good to sit down and just see truly where you are. Now, there will be good stuff happening in your life, somehow, someway, even if you think your life isn't great right now.
Take a stock report. Just have a little look about things that are going really well and make a list. You may be thinking there's nothing going well in my life.
Well, think again. Just find things that are going good. There will be areas of your life that you can say, I'm quite happy with that.
It may just be getting through the day. It may just be breathing. It may be you're pleased that you have your favorite pet, or you're pleased that something went well that day or yesterday.
Just have a little look at the things that are going great for you and begin a list, and everyday, add to your list and really focus upon what is good in your life. And on the other side of the list, have a think about the three or four areas that you might want to have a work on. It might be your body, it might be your health, it might be your finances, and just choose three things in each of those areas.
You're going to take steps to make better and have a plan, and this helps us to improve and increase our feelings of feeling good about ourselves, just by having a plan of action. Many people don't consider what it is they might want to do to make life better. But if you have a plan, then you're well on your way to making improvements.
Feeling good about yourself begins by taking stock about where you are now, and making some good plans for making things even better. So, have a look at where you are today and really have an optimistic viewpoint for where you can go and get creative and get fun with it. And decide that you're going to make some great improvements in your life and feel better about yourself.
