Hi, my name's Suzanne Harper. I'm the writer of The Feng Shui Wealth Guide and I'm going to talk to you today about different aspects of Feng Shui and show you how easy it is to make simple changes that attract more positive circumstances into your life. Hi, my name's Suzanne Harper, and I'm going to talk about Feng Shui in business.

Feng Shui is the art of balancing the energies of a space to attract health, wealth and happiness. In terms of business, the reason that you would be doing it is to attract more profits, to have an enjoyable situation for trading, to have harmony among your staff and to make sure that you have happy customers and clients. What tools do you need? You certainly need lights, definitely plants, you may want a water feature, you might want some distant view artwork, and you might possibly use a wind chime.

How do you do it? Well, let's talk about first what you need to avoid and then about the things that are really positive. Under no circumstances have a mirror in the office. Why? Because you double the paperwork but not the profits, and this is not why you're in business, to do more work for less money.

You're in business to do less work, hopefully, even more efficiently for more money. Also, try and avoid having large piles of paper like that. Always split them into smaller piles of things to do, so that what happens is that you feel you're on top of things, you're in control.

Heavy storage, you want to go below waist height. You don't want to feel that the files are coming down on top of you, you want them lower down. You want to also be able to have a clear view, maybe out of the window, or if you must face the wall, that you have some distant view artwork that takes your eye through the wall.

It's really, really important in an office that people either face the same way or that they sit facing in together around the table. This means that they're working together. Unfortunately, a lot of people think that it's cheaper and easier to have people sitting facing computers at a wall, and everyone's got their back to the center.

This doesn't work. Basically, staff comes together, focus in the same direction and in the same way. In terms of how you use some of these things, you want the light and the plant in the far left hand corner of your office.

You may want a water feature in the southeast of the office. You want to make sure that if there are any windows that you can see out of them, and if anybody has to sit facing a wall that they have a distant view picture or some kind of art work in front of them. Your filing system is crucial.

Order in the office makes life much, much easier. If you find you're working with somebody you don't get on with, a very small mirror that faces out towards them may be enough to disperse their energy and allow you to concentrate better. The boss always needs to sit in a high-backed chair.

This symbolizes support. Flowers in an office and plants in an office are tremendous. The energy of plants and flowers lift the office also help to mute some of the energies of the electronics and the computers that we all need nowadays.

Also, in an office, soft furnishings and carpets on your floor again help to absorb these energies. Plants also symbolize growth; this is something that's very, very important in business. Health, wealth and happiness.
