Hello, my name is Sarah McAllister. I'm the founding director of Feng Shui Agency. I'm delighted to give you some general tips but please note they are not substitute of a professional Feng Shui consultant's advice.

So, how to Feng Shui your kitchen. If you're lucky enough to be designing your kitchen from scratch, then I strongly suggest you keep the stove much separate from the sink, okay? Do not have the stove a hundred and eighty degrees directly opposite the sink because this will create a fire and water clash. Now, fire represents the male and water represents the female and this will cause conflict.

I've known many a family to split up over this very dynamic. In the kitchen, you need to keep the stove away from the water, okay? So, the water is often best placed for a practical perspective underneath the window just so the steam can escape. The best locations for your kitchen broadly speaking would be east, southeast.

That's due to the rising chi, a little like the rice that is growing out of the soil. It's the nourishment that you want in your kitchen energy, okay? But don't worry if your kitchen isn't in the east or the southeast because not, we can always get the perfect Feng Shui. The main thing for you to consider is the color.

You don't want too much red because you've already got the fire of the stove, okay? So, you already have the heat there. And again, you don't want too much black or blue because you've already got water, okay? So generally speaking, nice colors for kitchen are very pale green, like a pistachio green on the walls or dark green. Also, you can use a little bit of yellow, so pale yellow on walls would also work.

The kitchen is the heart of the home so it's nice to have a little bit of sitting area in the kitchen because people do get drawn towards the kitchen. It's the place where people are nourished, where people come together because of the warmth of the stove. There's an ancient subconscious link that we like to gather around the stove. .
