S doctor and a medium medic. I'm going to
take you through a series of common medical questions that people often ask me. In this
video we're going to talk about how to find a G.

P surgery to register with. Now G.P's are
at the forefront of N.

H.S care in the UK and they are the coordinators of care for a lot
of people and it's very important that everybody is registered. Now fact is you may want
to consider when registering with a G.

P are: one-location, two-opening times, three-personal
preferences such as things like sex or language. And four-performance issues. Now I'm going
to take you through the process of how to find a G.

P. The first thing to do is, search for
a practice and it's quite easily done, just go to N.H.

S website and have a search for your
local practices. Select the ones that are closest to you and call each practice to see if
they're still taking on patients.
Now every single G.

P practice works by catchment, so you may fall outside their catchment
area. In which case you should pick another practice. If a G.

P is unable to register you
then they have to give you a valid reason for why they can't do so. Now when you find a G.P
practice to register with you'll be asked to fill in a detailed questionnaire.

You may also
be invited to have a health check. Now if you're having difficulty registering with a G.P
then you can always contact your local P.

directory or from the internet. It's very important that everybody has a G.

P . But always
remember if you need urgent or emergency care you can visit any practice or any hospital to
do so. But you will need a G.

P for ongoing or other care. And that's how you find a G.P to
register with.
