How To Find A Hapkido Uniform

Today, I'm wearing a black belt Hapkido uniform. Depending on the school, they might have the same uniforms for black belts and colored belts, and some actually have different uniforms. I'm going to show you a white belt uniform.

The quality and material is very important for Hapkido. In Hapkido, we have dynamic kicks and some throws and break falls, so we don't want to have very heavy uniforms like Jiu Jitsu or Judo. So, similar material, but this is very light but still a very strong uniform.

You can't use a karate or taekwondo uniform. I would like to demonstrate why it's important to have a good strong material uniform. I'm going to show you one basic throw.

We call this rowing. Grab shoulders and wrist. Here, most uniforms actually tear so it should be really strong.
