I’m going to tell you how to use ‘find my iphone’ it’s a great service that allows you to find your iphone if it gets lost or stolen. You can find it on a map and remotely lock it and erase all the data. It’s simple to activate, first you need to activate iCloud on your mobile phone by following the onscreen instructions. You will need ios 5 to set up iCloud. Once iCloud is set up simply click on settings, iCloud, scroll down to find my iphone and swipe to on. Find my iphone will then be activated on your phone. If your phone is lost or stolen go to icloud.com to find it. Log onto iCloud with your apple I.D. Once signed in you will be presented with 5 icons in the centre of your screen, click on find my iphone and it will begin the search to find the devices. From here you can remotely lock your phone, you can remotely wipe it which means you can remove all the data, you can play a sound or send a message. I’m going to send a message, so this means you can send an address or an alternative phone number they can contact you on. Using the find my iphone service I have successfully located my iphone on the map, I’ve sent it a message and I’ve played an alert sound. And that’s how you locate and retrieve an iphone.
