In this video I am going to show you how to fix plaster board or dry wall as it is known in the United States. The same method can be applied to a number of reasons you may have to repair plasterboard. I have pre-drilled a screw into the centre of my wood which will allow me to hold it tight to the back of the plasterboard while I secure it.

I am now using dry wall screws to secure the timber to the back of the plasterboard. OK, making sure that I sink in the screws to get enough poly-fill in with plasters so we don't catch the trail. We are going to remove the centre screw.

Fortunately we have a bit of plasterboard that we drilled out earlier. If in your circumstances you are repairing a damaged bit of plasterboard you may need to cut a new bit of plasterboard to fit the shape you are repairing. We are going to insert the new plasterboard into the hole which we can now press back onto the timber that we have already secured and we are simply going to screw that plasterboard to that timber.

So we are going to fill around the edges so there is no movement to allow it to crack at a later date. We can now use poly-filler to trim around the edges and over the top of the screws, once sanded it will be just like new. And that is how to fix your plasterboard wall.
